The Ministry of Health (MOH) conducts the MOH exam, an essential assessment for healthcare professionals aspiring to work in various sectors across the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This exam, mandated by the Ministry of Health of UAE, serves as a crucial evaluation for appointing qualified healthcare practitioners to contribute to the healthcare landscape of the UAE.

The MOH exam is a prerequisite for healthcare professionals seeking employment opportunities in the UAE. Successfully passing the MOH exam qualifies candidates to work in five emirates of the UAE, excluding Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Candidates aspiring to work in Dubai and Abu Dhabi must also pass the DHA (Dubai Health Authority) and HAAD (Health Authority of Abu Dhabi) examinations, respectively.
Exam Details:
- The MOH exam is an online assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions.
- There is no specific syllabus prescribed for the exam.
- Candidates are allowed three attempts to pass the exam. Failing to pass within three attempts disqualifies the candidate from any position in the Ministry or private healthcare sectors. However, non-qualified candidates may still find employment in clinics where salaries may be lower.
- Registration for the exam must be completed one week prior to the intended date. The exam committee notifies candidates of the exact date, time, and venue one day prior to the exam.
